Niharika Centre for performing Arts started it’s journey in the year 1995. The journey was not very smooth from the beginning. After many hurdles of ups and downs, it is able to make an identity of its own under the able guidance and leadership of the Artistic Director of Niharika and the Mentor and Practitioner of the Indian Classical Dance Bharatnatyam, Dr. Arkadev Bhattacharya. Though the Institute started with the moto of propagation and practice of the Indian Classical Dance form Bharatnatyam, day by day it feels the urge to work for
The students who are physically and mentally challenged
Dance as a therapy, for the people who are suffering from mental stress
To work for the technicians who are associated with the cultural field and did not able to meet their daily needs due to poor payment structure
